What ACP was
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) was a separate, larger internet-focused federal benefit that ran alongside Lifeline until its funding lapsed.
How it differed from Lifeline
ACP offered a larger monthly discount focused primarily on home and mobile internet service, while Lifeline offers a smaller ongoing discount on phone or internet service and continues to operate today.
