About Us

About Government iPhone LLC

Government iPhone LLC is a Lifeline-supported wireless service provider based in Davie, Florida, that helps eligible U.S. consumers get connected to the FCC Lifeline program.

What we are

We are a consumer guidance and comparison platform. We publish plain-language explanations of Lifeline eligibility and rules, run an eligibility pre-check tool, and route applicants to participating carriers that hold their own independent Lifeline authorization.

What we are not

We are not a government agency, and we are not affiliated with the FCC, USAC, or any state or federal benefits program. We do not ourselves hold Eligible Telecommunications Carrier (ETC) designation and do not directly provide Lifeline-supported wireless service.

Our mission

Lifeline's rules, required documents, and participating carriers can be confusing to navigate on your own. Our mission is to make that process clear — accurate eligibility information, transparent carrier comparisons, and responsive support — so eligible households can get connected without the guesswork.

What you can find here

This site covers the full path from eligibility to activation: a free eligibility checker, independent reviews of participating Lifeline carriers, device pages for popular Apple iPhone and Samsung Galaxy models, state-specific guidance, and plain-language guides on everything from required documents to what happened to the now-ended Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). Whether you're looking for a free government iPhone, a free 5G government phone, or simply trying to understand how Lifeline wireless service works, our content is written and fact-checked by our editorial team with citations to FCC and USAC sources.

About us questions

No — checking eligibility and applying through Government iPhone is free. Any cost you may see comes from a participating carrier's device or plan pricing, disclosed before you complete enrollment.
We may receive compensation from participating carriers when a referred applicant successfully enrolls, as disclosed in our editorial standards. This doesn't change the price you pay or how we rate carriers.
Our reviews are researched and fact-checked independently of any carrier relationship, following the process described in our editorial standards. We link sources on every review and guide.
